VsKN

The idea behind this work is to capture moments from a decayed and weathered sign written advertisement from decades past.
All that remain are the letters V,s,K and N.
アイデアは1930年代の風化した看板から瞬間を捉えること。
残っているのはV、s、K、Nの文字とそれらの起源の謎。
フリーハンドでの手書きです。

Inspired by ‘Taisho Era’ package design and Haikyo culture.

This works inception began with creating type modelled on the Japanese Katakana.
Painted in the traditional sign writing method.
日本のカタカナをモデルにした抽象的タイポグラフィ。
鮮やかな色のチョイスは折り紙のイメージでもありそれぞれの重なりを半透明に表現しています。
サインライティングのトラディショナルな手法で手書きされています。(テープ使用無し)

Inspired by 70’s confectionary package design.

Type designed using geometric shapes based on Japanese Katakana letter forms. 
Colour combination inspired by ‘Perugia Bottier’ advertising poster ( 1930’s)
カタカナの形に基づいた幾何学的形状を使用してデザインしたタイポグラフィ。
1930年代のフランスの広告ポスター‘Perugia Bottier’にヒントを得たカラーコンビネーション。

Abstract 抽象シリーズ - 'Raising Red' + 'Aperitif'

Inspired by the ghosts of old hand painted signs and the mysterious images they sometimes become as a result of the fusion of type and images resurfacing and bleeding through the layers of type which covers them. 
古い手書き看板とイメージが時を経て融合し再浮上したり滲んだりする様。
